China Southern set to increase Brisbane flights


China Southern will add an extra flight each week from 31 March, bringing frequencies on the airlines Guangzhou to Brisbane route to five flights per week. The announcment was made a little more than a week before the airline commenced a three times weekly seasonal service on the triangular Guangzhou-Brisbane-Cairns-Guangzhou route, bringing total frequencies to Brisbane up to daily. This seasonal service will come to an end from 1 March, bringing frequencies to Brisbane back down to four flights per week making the announcement of an additional service most welcome.

The schedule will remain the same with flights departing Guangzhou at 21:15, arriving into Brisbane the following day at 08:25, using the flight number CZ381. The return service, CZ382 will depart Brisbane at 09:55, arriving back into Guangzhou at 17:00. Flights will continue to be operated by the airlines Airbus A330-300 fleet. Flights will operate out of Brisbane, every day except Fridays and Sundays.

UPDATE: China Southern has postponed the planned 5th weekly flight to Brisbane. The extra service has been pushed back two and a half months and will now commence on June 19.
