OOL - Jetstar to cut flights to Osaka from May and China Southern to operate two charters for Chinese New Year

Jetstar have announced that they will cut flights from Gold Coast to Osaka Kansai from May 8th next year. The news comes as Jetstar announce flights from Melbourne to Tokyo Narita from April 29th. The reason given for the OOL-KIX route getting cut is that demand is much stronger for flights to Tokyo. Flights from Gold Coast to Tokyo Narita will continue and will eventually be upgraded to Boeing 787-8's from Airbus A330-200s which will see a large increase in seats.
