Air North have announced that effective May 2, they will reduce the number of flights on there Darwin-Mount Isa-Gold Coast route from 2 per week to 1. The Wednesday service will be cut leaving the Gold Coast and Mount Isa with the Thursday service. The airline states that a decline in tourism and corporate demand, means it is no longer viable to operate two flights a week on the route.
