Philippine Airlines and Garuda Indonesia to resume flights to Brisbane

Philippine Airlines and Garuda Indonesia are set to return to Brisbane later this year. Philippine Airlines have commenced selling seats on there new three times weekly Manila-Darwin-Brisbane service. The new service will start June 1 and will be operated by the airlines Airbus A320s. Philippine Airlines last operated flights to Brisbane in 2010 with a triangular Manila-Melbourne-Brisbane-Manila service operated by the airlines larger Airbus A330-300s. Flight commenced in March, however they didn't last long with the airline pulling out after just 6 months.

Garuda Indonesia are to re-commence flights to Brisbane from August 1. The airline will operate daily flights between Denpasar (Bali) and Brisbane with Boeing 737-800s. This route is not yet open for reservation. Garuda last operated flights to Brisbane five years ago.
